It is with regret that the All Saints Educational Trust has decided that it cannot make any new individual 'Hardship' or other exceptional Awards which will be tenable during the academic/financial year beginning on 1 August 2010. This decision has had to be taken for two reasons:
Students whose awards have already been approved and are payable in 2010-2011 or beyond will receive the agreed grants - whether for maintenance or fees - in the usual way, as described in the correspondence from the Trust setting out the terms under which an All Saints scholarship is offered. This is an absolute guarantee. Meanwhile, potential applicants to the Trust should note that the Trust will next consider new applications in April/May 2011, for awards tenable in 2011-2012 and beyond, in accordance with the timetable set out elsewhere on this website. Preliminary enquiries about new awards tenable during 2010-2011 will not normally be responded to. HOW TO APPLY FOR AN INDIVIDUAL AWARD (ALL SAINTS SCHOLARSHIPS) This is very important. Information about eligibility is available on the pages headed Are you eligible to apply for an award? All applicants are recommended to complete a Preliminary Questionnaire, which is designed to check your eligibility for an Award. We can verify whether you fulfil the requirements by looking at your answers to a few simple factual questions. You can complete this form on this web site and email it back to us, or print it out, complete it, and then send it to us. Please click here for the printable version of the form, and here for the email version. Alternatively you can obtain the form by sending a stamped addressed A4 envelope to: Mr. S. P. Harrow The Clerk All Saints Educational Trust Suite 8C First Floor VSC Charity Centre Royal London House 22-25 Finsbury Square London EC2A 1DX UK Completion of the Preliminary Questionnaire does not mean that you have submitted an eligible application, only that you are requesting the Trust to decide whether or not you are eligible to apply. Once we have verified your eligibility, we will provide you with a Full Application Form and Pack. If you are outside our terms of reference, we will tell you so. You may submit additional pages or documentation where invited on the application form to do so. However, Trustees will not welcome excessive documentation and the Clerk has discretion to edit or remove paperwork or material that is considered irrelevant or unhelpful. It is your responsibility to obtain references. Three are required, one from each of the specified types of referee. The timetable for applications for scholarships tenable in the academic year 2011-2012 is as follows UK/EU ('home') students
(For further important information, please see also the Timetable for Applications, 2011-2012) Contact the Clerk for advice. All applicants who are not able to meet the closing dates can try again the following year. The Awards Committee is responsible for considering applications.
All applicants will be informed of the Committee's decisions (whether positive or negative) as soon as possible after the meetings. There is no need to contact us and we will not answer queries about awards while these are under active consideration. |
