Education programme funding
We provide funding for organisations delivering projects that support teachers and the teaching profession of Religious Education, Home Economics (including food, nutrition and textiles).
Programmes should enhance or have a long term impact on Religious Education or Home Economics teaching in schools.

✓ Programmes, including those overseas, should aim to help participants become better classroom teachers.
✓ Your education programme outcomes and benefits should support the teaching profession and pupil learning.
What funding can help with
All Saints Educational Trust funding is a top up for additional expenditure or fees where courses are not grant funded.
Funding may be use for accredited CPD, subject-specific postgraduate study, action research, or university-supported professional development.
You must need the Trust’s help: funding is not made where study could be funded from personal means or available Government bursaries and grants.
As a charity we expect our funding to contribute to the public benefit through supporting the teaching profession.
We fund education programmes that are …
Impactful
Make a clear difference to teachers
and teaching.
Evidence-informed
Respond to an identified need and use sound evidence.
Sustainable
Create benefits that can continue beyond the funding period.
Practical
Lead to useful, achievable improvements in education.
Value for money
Use funding effectively to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Inclusive
Reach and support those who can
benefit most.
More detailed guidance
-
We fund programmes that support those intending to teach, or those who are already practising teachers of Religious Education and Home Economics, including D&T: Food and nutrition, and Textiles. By Religious Education we also mean Religion and Worldviews in England, Religion Values and Ethics in Wales, Religious and Moral Education in Scotland.
This support can include the provision of training, mentoring and coaching, including face to face and online continuing professional development to meet our primary goal of helping teachers become better teachers.
Programme award applications will be scrutinised carefully to ensure that they are sustainable, give value for money and deliver our mission.

Programmes, including those overseas, should aim to help participants become better classroom teachers and may include proposals for the development of:
in-service training or continuous professional development (CPD) support for existing teachers
resources, research, and programmes, to facilitate and enhance the effectiveness of existing teachers
teacher training courses.
The education programme’s specific outcomes and benefits should support the teaching profession, specifically the teaching of Religious Education and Home Economics, including D&T food and nutrition, and textiles.
Awards are normally made to fund time-limited, targeted projects. It is not usual for the Trust to directly fund salaries or running costs of an organisation. The cost of staff in relation to a specific programme may be considered as part of the overall programme management costs.
We are not offering funding to overseas applicants currently. We are reviewing this in the future.
-
Funding is usually made non-profit organisations that run education programmes that support teachers of Religious Education and/or Home Economics, including D&T: Food and nutrition, and Textiles. If in doubt, please talk to the Trust’s manager before starting an application.
-
We do not usually fund individuals or companies to undertake research, develop curriculum materials or resources, or deliver stand-alone activities. Instead, we focus our limited funding on education programmes run by partner non-profit organisations that can reach more teachers, strengthen teaching and learning, and extend their impact through wider dissemination.
-
You will need to explain why you want funding.
Annual report and accounts.
-
The trust invites overseas applications for overseas programme awards in the areas above that demonstrate evidence of collaboration between the Trust and the applicant organisation including shared funding (meaning that some part of the project cost is covered by the applicant’s existing resources) and possibly shared administration (meaning, for example, that funding partially provides for a programme where the individual candidates are identified and processed by the applicant organisation rather than by the Trust).
Shared funding and/or shared administration allows scholars to study postgraduate courses in their own regions or nations, in Religious Education and/or Home Economics, including D&T: Food and nutrition, and Textiles where the career intention of the candidate is to teach in schools or college, or in community outreach programmes (provided that teaching in the subjects we support, is a key component of the community outreach role).
Please discuss any collaborative proposals with the Trust prior to application.
-
Education programme funding can support training, mentoring, coaching and professional development for both new and experienced teachers.
We particularly value programmes that can create lasting benefits, for example, by introducing effective new approaches, reaching significant numbers of teachers and pupils, or developing resources that can be shared more widely.
Applications are assessed carefully to ensure that programmes are sustainable, offer good value for money and contribute clearly to our mission.
